An active Amazon Prime membership is required to hold and use the card at its highest benefit tier; if Prime lapses, cash-back rates may be reduced and card terms may change.

The Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature card carries no annual fee, though an Amazon Prime membership (paid separately) is required to apply and to maintain the highest cash-back tier.

The card does not charge a foreign transaction fee on purchases made outside the United States, making it usable internationally without surcharges.

As a Visa Signature card, cardholders have access to a 24/7 concierge service that can assist with travel bookings, dining reservations, and event tickets.

The card extends the manufacturer's warranty on eligible purchases by up to one additional year for warranties of three years or less.

If checked or carry-on luggage is lost or damaged by a common carrier, the cardholder may be reimbursed up to a set limit when the fare was charged to the card.

Eligible new purchases are covered against damage or theft for a limited period after the purchase date, up to a per-claim and per-year maximum.

Cardholders and eligible family members may receive travel accident insurance coverage when travel is purchased with the card, as a standard Visa Signature benefit.

All purchases not covered by higher bonus categories earn 1% cash back as a statement credit.

Cardholders with an active Prime membership receive 5% cash back on purchases at Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market, applied as a statement credit. Without Prime, the rate drops to 3%.

Cardholders earn 2% cash back at restaurants, gas stations, and drugstores, credited as a statement credit on eligible purchases.
